its 1.53am now.
mum's been nagging non-stop these few days.. saying that i've been facing the comp all the time and slping late every nite. grrr. i hate it when people nags at me.
anyway, i was [or rather, we were] very pissed today with my boss. my blood was boiling high when i read the new rules and regulations.
to start off, i was late for work today. stupid bus came late due to major service disruption or sth like that. i was supposed to work at 4 but i arrived at 4.18pm. ok, this is the first time i'm this late ever since i started work this holiday.
when i first stepped into the shop, all i cld hear was 'hey! u know there's new rules and regulations.'
me: aiya, always new rules de la.. what rules..
gr: its pasted behind [referring to the wall]. go read! super angry.
i read.

me: wah lau! when they implement these new rules?! don't tell me today lo!
know why i said that? READ ON.
[for goodness sake, i only rested for ONE day and there came these stupid rules]
gr: just now boss daughter came and gave these rules..

i called sophia immediately.
me: sophia! how come got these rules? when they gonna implement these rules? don't tell me today lor!! if its today i'm gonna walk around and come back at 5 then!!
i sounded pissed and didn't give her a chance to talk =x
sophia: oh.. tmr lo.. i know you today late rite... not today k..
me: ok...
put down the phone.

i took pics of the NEW RULES AND REGULATIONS.
but i'm lazy to post it. cos i needa erase the boss no and such. so now i'm gonna pick and write
some of the stupid rules. ALL ABOUT MONEY.

ICE CREAM SERVINGS
1. All cups served have to be level to the brim.
2. Anyone caught serving much more than required, will have to compensate V****** an equivalent value of the purchase made by the customer.
3. Staffs are NOT ALLOWED to give or exchange V******'s ice cream. Anybody caught doing so, is considered as
theft and will be handed over to the police or the day's salary being forfeited. Final decision lies with the management.
MONETARY ISSUES
1. Money collected that day/shift should tally with the cashier's report and the cups' cones and take away tubs inventory. Staff on duty are liable to top up the difference if any.
2. There should be a proper handover whenever there is a change in shift, else all staffs on duty for that day will be liable for any variance should the cups' cones' and take away tubs inventory not tally with the cashier's report.
COMMITMENT
1. All part time staffs must commit themselves to V****** for a minimum of 3 months. Anybody in breach will have to face the penalty of
$300 cash.
OPENING AND CLOSING BALANCE (
the MOST INTERESTING one)
1. SMS the boss the opening stock of inventory and/or the closing stock of inventory and ice cream balance.
2. Staffs must be responsible and report the correct balance of ice cream or there will be a
penalty of $60 for any wrong reports. [ MADNESS. who will give the wrong report? and 60 bucks for wrong reports. its MORE than the pay per day. normally the most maybe work 10 hrs lets say. means 10 times 5 = 50 bucks. we still have to pay extra 10 bucks. wtf.]
the rest.. i didn't take photo of that. but from what i remember,
- after 6 months with us, you may claim the cost of the typhoid injection up to a
maximum of $25 by proof of receipt. [damn it! i lost the receipt. and my jab was $25.20. nvm bout the 20cents, but they quite li4 hai4 huh? know outside cost more. so they put maximum]
- if you are late for a consecutive of 3 times, you'll be sacked. [haha! thats what worried beeleng today. she got it.. but all not later than 10 min.]
- if you are late for more than 10 minutes, the first hr of pay will be forfeited, that is $5. [thats what pissed me today! cos i reached at 4.18pm. so understand now? imagine you reached at 4.11pm? i rather come at 5 then!]
- no one is allowed to punch cards for another person. if you are caught, both of yr salary of the day will be cut off by 50%. [she still got give example ok! like...
eg. pay of the day = 6hrs * $5 = $30.
pay of the day after deduction = $30 *50% = $15
*speechless*
- last minute notice of not working is not allowed unless with valid reasons. you have to find someone to substitute you else your pay for the day will be forfeited by 50% [SOMETHING LIKE THAT LA..]
BLAH BLAH.. there's somemore i can't think of at the moment. if you have notice, its all about money. trying to deduct here and there. for goodness sake, pay already so little. they earn like hell. we slog like hell. still give us these rules all bout money here and there.
we are given 1/2 hr to clean up.. but pls.. sometimes we need more than 1/2 hr. but we never see them giving us the extra money.
i still rem last yr.. we were to work till 10.30pm. but we finished packing up and punched the card at 10.29pm. PLS LOR.. they underlined the time. wth.. one minute earlier also underline.. not like we never finish cleaning up or what.. we need to wait till 10.30pm then can punch. so stupid! then if we work till 10.47pm? i don't see why they nv underline and give us extra money.
ARGH!
if not because of the flexible time and sophia as our supervisor, we all have quitted long ago.
